Hi,

In iis i host the application and the url is google.aspx. So when i give the request in the browser say google.aspx how the browser knows to send the request to IIS server instead to centralised server. Please help me.

Thanks for ur reply. DNS will be there on the centralised server right? but our IIS is localhost. How the request identifies the DNS if there is no internet connection. Please elaborate.

It all works on the basis of IP addresses, when you type in some URL in the browser and hit GO, the mapping of URL with IP address takes place, and request is sent to the correct web server then IIS comes into the picture.

Here is the overview of how entire cycle works
Browser >> DNS Lookup (ISP) >> Load Balaner >> WFE (web front end) >> Requested Page Response
