What is difference between cloud computing vs web hosting se

Some cloud computing definitions from the internet:

With cloud computing you do not need to upfront purchase any server and maintain it on your own like in case of your own server.

 

Also, you can increase or decrease the resources like CPU core, RAM, disk space, etc. on demand which is not possible in case of a hosting server.

 

Cloud computing is a very vast field, but some of the basic explanation is given above.

 

On-demand, pay-per-use basis, global scale, disaster management, etc. are some of the many things which seperates cloud computing from a hosted server.
