What is the difference between Channel Menthod & Proxy method?

Proxy is something that you generate using the svcutil.exe utility or by directly adding the webreference to the service. In case of adding the service reference you'll see the reference.cs file under the service Reference. The proxy generated from both ways will have the custom proxy class inherits a class ClientBase : ICommunicationObject, IDisposable where TChannel : class.This class encapsulates the functionality of channel factory and channels.This class exposes the ChannelFactory and Channel via ChannelFactory and InnerChannel properties.Prior to invoking the Service methods we need to open the proxy via it's Open() method.

You can also create your own custom channer by ChannelFactory class by its constructor method. For more explanation you can visit the article here
