Can some one tell me the usage of cursor, what is the need of it and where we have to use it?

Cursor is a record set use to hold the data temporarily in the form of rows.
It can be filled by a select statement.
Cursor are always work in a forward mode that means once you navigated to the next row in record set you can't come back just like your SqlDataReader class. This behavior makes them faster.
