What technology stack to use in my web application?

Hi,

I have prior ASP.Net web application experience of 5 years, in this era i haven't impletemented any JavaScript frameworks in my any web application. Now my company have got a big "sales" web application project so I am planning to built it using JS framework i.e. **ANGULAR JS 6**

Now i will learn AngularJS as a front-end techno, but for the server side I know that it is very hard and nearly impossible to merge it with asp.net web forms tech. So for this reason I am thinking to learn either ASP.Net MVC or ASP.Net Core.

Can you please guide me which technology works best and should I learn with Angular JS? also which techno stack will suit me most in future with any steep learning curve?

I think a lot of things should be taken into account before getting a perfect web tech stack. First of all, it is better to consider the experience you already have and what suits you best. Next thing you should definitely pay attention to is the requirements of your project. Ok here's the thing. I think you are confusing things here. ASP.NET WebForms is an event-driven kind of web development. It's like moving desktop into web except that the web is stateless. Angular is a SPA framewok and it is very different to WebForms and even MVC. That's why it's very difficult to mix Angular with WebForms. In fact, I think it's impossible.
If you are coming from ASP.NET WebForms, then I would recommend you to start on Razor Pages first or if you want, ASP.NET MVC. The reason why I'm recommending Razor Pages is that you will have a smooth transition on how things works between WebForms and Razor Pages. Now, if you want to be on the cutting-edge, you may want to explore ASP.NET Core. Web API and MVC is now ASP.NET Core. The ASP.NET Core templates provides a variety of project templates such as:
API - Adds all dependencies for you to use Web API
MVC - Adds all dependencies for you to use MVC
Web App (Getting Started app that integrates most of the ASP.NET Core features such as, Authentication and basic CRUD)
Blazor - A new experimental project and very interesting project if you want a SPA kind of thing without JavaScript. Yes, without JavaScript!
SignalR- isn't a part of ASP.NET Core template but the package for it is included in the Web App template.
Empty - You can create an empty ASP.NET Core app and integrate the things you just need in your app. For example, Web API, SIgnalR, EF or whatsoever. Remember, ASP.NET is designed to be modular and everything you add in your app is just a NuGet package.
SPA templates such as Angular, React and Redux
If you are aiming for SPA, then you can go for Angular, React, Knockout, Auriela and many more! One thing to keep in mind when working with SPA web frameworks is you don't need ASP.NET MVC. You would only need to implement the API as your back-end and use any SPA as front-end. You can host each of them in different servers. In other words, Angular + Web API or Angular + ASP.NET Core should get the job done.
If you want to use a SPA without dealing with these complex JavaScripts, then you must check out Blazor. I personally find the framework very interesting. I think Blazor is going to be incredibly a hit and that's because I see WebAssembly as actually superseding JavaScript. Sure, JavaScript and it's frameworks aren't going anywhere, but why would you teach a new programmer JavaScript when you can just teach them C#, Python, etc.. and have them work with simpler tools in a more performant environment?
That being said.. Blazor is still on it's experimental stage and we can't guarantee anything until it will be officially released.

1. Use matured frameworks only, if the decision making is on your side. e.g. Angualr 4 is matured than Angualr 6.
2. Look around for resource availability with what kind of skills e.g. choosing .NET core and .NET
3. Also assess the learning curve timespan available. e.g. some projects to quickly start and finish. Customer not expecting team to learn and implement. But some customers allowing team to have some bandwidth to learn new stuff.
4. Above all technology shouldn't rule customer business, but business to get benefit from technology. So look customer business needs and then decide which technology suits.

Hello Emad

You want to Learn Angular js or Angular 6 Both are Different.You can merge Angular 6 with asp.net But its always good if you use mvc or core.
I suggest you to learn Aso.net core or Mvc and Angular 6 if you can then its better
