Here is the list of our typical process:
- Our editor reviews your word document file and looks for the Title
- Make sure we don't have same title article already published
- The check online to make sure if article contents are not copied from somewhere else (this takes time). If yes, we let the author know about this.
- Conversion from Word doc to plain text (Word doc has too much crap). Convert images (time consuming process)
- Then article is published in Plain HTML
- Message goes to Sam and then Same proof reads it, fixes grammar and makes it more readable.
- Then Article goes live
Authors can help us by not publishing duplicate articles, copying contents and submit plain text/HTML through our Editor :).Some days we get up to 30 articles and we have to reject some and doing all, it takes time.
Cheers!

I am trying to develop tools to help me edit. So I sometimes postpone editing while I work on the tools. I always finish my list of articles to be edited before the end of my day, which is the morning in India. I hope to be able to speed things up when I have my tools working the way I want them to.
I do not know how much work is done before they (the list) are sent to me. I think they have to do things such as create a description and ensure that the category is correct and other things. There is probably more work than we realize.
I mainly try to fix grammar. So I might change "why required so much delay for article approve" to "what causes the delay in getting article approval". I hope the changes are good for you. I hope it helps for the articles to be written in a manner that is more consistent with something that someone whose native language is English would write. There is a lot of excellent material in the articles and I hope that improving the grammer will make the articles even more useful.
I try to understand what the author is trying to say and when it seems to be unclear, I try to rewrite it so it is more clear. If I make a mistake then please let me know, but I really try to get it right. If I do not understand, then I might send the author a message. It will really help if you can reply and try to explain it. I do not always get responses from authors but I would prefer to not guess at what something means when it is not clear to me.
The important thing is just as Pravin says; things take time.
