which control to use to display long text

use literal control like this...


LiteralControl LtCtrl = new LiteralControl();

     LtCtrl.Text=ProductDescription;

       LtCtrl.Text += "ATP_CLP_IDInternational ChamicalIDCECASClassificationLabellingM_FactorNotesSignal Word";

 Now Drag n Drop a place holder control from ToolBox on you webpage..
and add the Literal Control to the Placeholder..

 placeholder1.Controls.Add(ltATPCLP);

and done..

You can use a regular TextBox, just change some properties of the control to get the behavior you need. You have to change the following properties:

• TextMode="MultiLine"

• Rows="5"
