why AutoPostBack to be true ?

Basically button has a POSTBACKS , because a button is intended to do postback on the server to fire up the event .

asp:DropDownList has also a POSTBACKS ,but Default value of AutoPostBack is false. It is depend on user requirement to do postback or not. then why unneccessarily do autopostback on dropdownlist value change

It's because the ASP.NET Button server control is intended to do a postback that why you don't need to explicitly set autopostback to true for it.

So, The default behaviour of the button postback is "True" & The default behavior of the dropdownlists postback is "False" .
