i m developing windows application
i have a problem i try my best to solve but i can't sove it.
i m using dataset for only fiewing data to the forms and i create my own class for updation and insertion but my updation query doesnot update database it update dataset..... how ever my connection string provide the path of the database rather then of dataset....
help me plz........
why my update method doesnot update database, rather it update my built-in dataset .

When you Run the application in Visual Studio
and if you try to Insert Record it Create the another temporary copy of Database in /Bin/Debug and that inserted record is Written into that Temporary database
so when you Run the Application in Visual Studio again its again Create new Temporary from your Blank database .
This is perfectly correct visual studio is doing that because it don't want to spoil your original database when you developing application it . its no problem with code or anything go ahead develop the application
your code will run perfect with your complied exe when you run that exe alone at deployment time :)
While in case of ASP.net Visual Studio make changes Directly to Original Database it does not Create Temporary copy
it directly writes to original database :)

I have had that problem. The data does not get updated in the Database. Please try this. Install or place your database inside the Management Studio instead of locally inside your project. Try this and see what happen.
