Xamarin tutorials for beginners

Hi,

I am very intrested in mobile apps and would like to take up a course on Xamarin.

Can some one suggest a quick and easy to follow site (for beginers please) that will guide me to learn as well as build a project at the same time.

Is there a (or has some one already downloaded) Visual studio that I can download that will have help me to develop Xamarin. The problem I have is, I downloaded the VS2017 and when I try to work on it I cannot find the Crossplatform link/module in it, and have spent a good 2 days trying to fix it. So if some one has downloaded VS 2017 sucessfully with the Xamarin 3rd party module please share it.
