Senior Software Engineer - ASP.NET Developer
Job Description:
The primary role of the software engineer is to design, develop, enhance and maintain current and new applications and web services. The software engineer will be called upon to recommend solutions to streamline internal operational functions based on requirements from business users. This individual will also be called upon to participate, to varying extents, in all aspects of a project, including systems and process analysis and design as well as application development and support.
Working on applications, including ecommerce sites, you will work with technologies and tools including .NET 3.5, SQL Reporting Services and SharePoint.
Essential Functions:
Participation in full software development lifecycle.
Investigate and analyze application issues in a timely manner, and recommend solutions to these problems including code changes and refactoring, data updates, or configuration modifications.
Design and develop software in a group or independently.
Assist in technical design and development reviews.
Conduct and assist in integration testing.
Develop enhancements, according to business specifications, to existing applications.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of software development experience (non-academic) with demonstrable experience of C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
At least of 2 years experience supporting production applications.
Good fundamental and hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services.
Experience with SharePoint development, administration and governance is a plus.
Web-based development experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience with working in a multi-team environment is a plus.
Comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.
Good analytical skills and fast learner.
Understanding of project life cycles.
Experience or education in financial industry or accounting is a plus.
