Job Description

Join our collaborative Design group and engage in innovative design projects while working with global technical leadership teams for Emerson business units worldwide. This role is based at the Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP).

Your Responsibilities

  1. Expertise in Fluid Systems. Good knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic fluid flow systems.
  2. Proficiency in CAD Software. Proficient in 3D modeling, assembly, tubing, and 2D drafting standards using Solid Edge.
  3. Engineering Calculations. Hands-on experience with engineering calculations to verify design integrity.
  4. Technical Drawings. Experience in creating manufacturing drawings, general arrangement drawings, schematics, wiring drawings, and bills of materials.
  5. GD&T Knowledge. Good application knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up.
  6. Material and Process Understanding. Strong understanding of engineering materials, castings, weld design, fabrication, sheet metal, and standard manufacturing processes.
  7. Problem Solving. Decisive, driven, and able to deliver effective and innovative solutions.
  8. Microsoft Office Tools. Fluent with Microsoft Office tools.
  9. Analytical Skills. Excellent analytical skills and results-oriented approach.
  10. Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

For This Role, You Will Need

  1. Mechanical Testing. Experience in mechanical testing is an added advantage.
  2. Software Proficiency. Experience with Team Center and Oracle is preferred.
  3. Industry Standards Knowledge. Good working knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, and other standards related to the oil and gas industry.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  1. Educational Background. B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and industrial equipment (e.g., actuators, valves, boilers, pressure equipment, special purpose machines).
  2. Software Experience. Good experience with CAD/PLM/ERP software such as Solid Edge, Team Center, and Oracle.
