We are seeking a skilled Software Development Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in software testing and test automation, along with proficient programming skills. Your primary responsibility will be to design, execute, and evaluate both manual and automated tests for our products. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing our test environment, ensuring compliance with software quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Test Case Design and Implementation
- Design comprehensive test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software products.
- Document test cases effectively for easy understanding and reference.
Manual and Automated Testing
- Execute manual tests meticulously, ensuring thorough coverage of all relevant scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using scripting languages such as bash, Python, and PowerShell, with proficiency in C/C++ as an advantage.
- Continuously improve test coverage through automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Bug Analysis and Reporting
- Identify, analyze, and document software bugs and deviations from quality requirements with clarity and precision.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues promptly and ensure product quality.
Test Environment Management
- Enhance and maintain the test environment to ensure its suitability for conducting tests across different operating systems.
- Implement and manage build and version control systems to facilitate seamless testing processes.
Test Management and Process Improvement
- Lead test management for sub-projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in the test process, suggesting innovative ideas and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid experience in software testing and test automation.
- Technical degree or vocational training in a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as bash, Python, and PowerShell; familiarity with C/C++ is advantageous.
- Knowledge of different test tools and familiarity with software quality standards.
- Advanced English skills (B2 level or higher).
- ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
