As an Azure Technical Specialist (TS), you will play a critical role in influencing customers' technical decisions and driving the adoption of Microsoft’s cloud services. You will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with stakeholders to plan, demonstrate, and prove our solutions. Your expertise will help shape and implement cloud migration strategies, resolve technical issues, and identify new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership. Own and drive technical discussions for Azure migrations, using consultative and Challenger methods. Establish rules of engagement for extended teams and ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Customer Advocacy. Act as the Voice of the Customer, sharing insights and best practices with the Engineering team to address blockers and drive product improvements.
- Expertise Development. Maintain and grow your technical expertise in cloud migration, keeping abreast of market trends and competitive insights. Collaborate and share knowledge with the technical community.
- Strategic Planning. Develop and map customer visions into actionable strategies. Resolve concerns and validate business cases for investment, orchestrating implementation roadmaps with customers and partners.
- Opportunity Identification. Identify new opportunities within customer engagements and collaborate with Solution Specialists to pursue them.
- Technical Assessments. Conduct technical assessments to create migration plans and build robust business cases. Design solutions and drive POCs and MVPs.
- Partner Collaboration. Scale through partners by facilitating resources and processes, supporting partner technical capacity, and providing feedback.
- Customer Solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying customer pain points and designing solutions with strong business cases. Evangelize Azure migration scenarios such as Hybrid Compute, Backup and DR, and Specialized Workloads like AVS & SAP.
- Technical Skilling. Develop and execute customer technical skilling plans in collaboration with account teams.
Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms, or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, with several years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
- Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
- Proficiency with Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), microservice frameworks, and SDKs.
- Experience with Identity/Security (Azure) and large-scale application portfolios, including on-premise to cloud migrations.
- Strong pre-sales or technical consulting experience and understanding of partner ecosystems.
Preferred
- Additional certifications in Azure Architect, Cloud Platform Technologies, or Information Security.
- Experience with web application server technologies, cloud application design, and software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains.
- Knowledge of competitive cloud development platforms and prior consulting experience in software or services companies such as Amazon, VMware, Google, IBM, or Oracle.
- Language skills in French and/or Arabic are a plus.
