BI/DW Analyst

Over 5 years data warehouse design and implementation experience in an Oracle environment. Hands on experience with Oracle 9i DBMS. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP modules PA, AP, AR, HR etc. Experience with Oracle DW/BI products/tools: Discoverer, Informatica, Oracle Warehouse Builder. OWB is desired (not required) Additional reporting tool experience with business objects or Crystal is a plus. Proven Experience in writing extracts programs (ETL) from Oracle ERP Modules. Sound knowledge of data modeling skills. Proven experience in Oracle SQL tuning and Oracle 9i Features. Knowledge of korn shell Scripting. Proven experience in designing star schemas, reporting and analytics for enterprise data warehouse implementations. Ability to apply normalization concepts and understand the trade-offs between different schema designs. Strong understanding of industry best practices using Kimball or Inmon approaches. Knowledge of data warehouse design concepts such as data staging, ODS, OLAP, ROLAP, enterprise data models. Ability to analyze and define a solution in a self-directed environment. Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills; ability to work on multiple assignments; able to trouble shoot, debug and problem solve at the highest level
