As a Credit Risk Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial services forward, particularly in the domain of credit origination and risk management. Based in Sydney, you will contribute your expertise in data analysis, software development lifecycle, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize credit origination processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Analysis Proficiency. Utilize advanced data analysis tools and techniques to extract actionable insights, supporting decision-making processes related to credit origination.
- Software Development Lifecycle. Participate in all stages of the Software Development lifecycle, ensuring smooth integration and optimization of credit origination processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration. Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to streamline processes and drive transformation initiatives.
- Application Modernization. Hands-on experience with modernizing credit origination applications, facilitating the transition from legacy systems to more efficient solutions.
- Process Transition Management. Develop and socialize approaches for transitioning from current AS-IS to desired TO-BE processes, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Requirement Specification. Create detailed requirement specifications based on architectural designs and process workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Problem-Solving. Demonstrate strong analytical skills to understand complex problems, conduct thorough research and analysis, and communicate effective solutions to clients.
- Project Delivery. Contribute to project delivery frameworks by developing and implementing innovative solutions within tight timelines, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Workshop Facilitation. Conduct workshops and utilize problem-solving tools to address challenges effectively, fostering collaboration and creativity.
Skills / Competencies
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, with expertise in banking and risk domains.
- In-depth understanding of credit assessment and analysis, corporate credit origination processes, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred
- Extensive experience in credit origination process optimization and credit risk management, preferably within a large banking institution.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, including writing user stories and contributing to sprint and release planning.
- Experience in development, configuration, solution evaluation, validation, and deployment.
- Desire and experience to work in a management consulting environment, involving regular travel.
- Strong analytical, communication, planning, and coordination skills.
