As a Network Automation Engineer at Intel, you will play a pivotal role in driving the automation strategy within the network domain. Your primary responsibilities will include defining and implementing automation solutions, contributing to the maturity of automation processes, and fostering their adoption across the network infrastructure. You will spearhead the utilization of CI/CD methodologies, ensuring efficient deployment and version control of automation solutions. Moreover, you will assess network deployment needs both in cloud and on-premise environments, streamlining processes through automation.
In addition to deploying and upgrading network solutions, you will actively research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance Intel's network environment. Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation tools for various network processes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the stability, scalability, and sustainability of Intel's network infrastructure across multiple data centers.
Your technical expertise will shine as you code and update software to address complex network management and monitoring tasks. From configuration and deployment of network devices to monitoring network health metrics, your contributions will drive efficiency and reliability in network operations. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to building next-generation solutions for network and security services, elevating service levels and managing the asset lifecycle effectively.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of network operations and engineering experience in complex network environments
- Experience with Cisco, Extreme, Arista, and F5 network components, ideally supported by industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA
- 1+ year of working experience in Python and CI/CD environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SDN solutions from Cisco and/or Arista
- Strong understanding and implementation experience of Layer 2/3 redundancy protocols
- Expertise in managing network fabric, including integrated components like firewalls and load balancers
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, and dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)
- Proficiency in network security concepts, appliances, and implementation
- Familiarity with industry cabling standards and OSI model layers
- Skills in DNS/DHCP concepts and solutions
- Experience with Linux-based platforms and appliances
- Proficiency in SQL queries and understanding of database concepts
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with GitHub
- Advanced scripting skills (Ansible or Python) and experience with Rest API and XML/JSON
