Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with data processing software such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, or Hive.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, including MapReduce and Flume.
  • Proven experience in managing client-facing projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with Engineering and Sales Services teams.
  • Proficiency in database administration, data engineering techniques, and software development in one or more of the following languages Java, C++, Python, Go, or JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working with data warehouses, including technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting/analytic tools.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
  • Experience in designing and developing multi-tier high-availability applications leveraging modern web technologies, including NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and frameworks such as SparkML and TensorFlow.
  • Prior experience in technical consulting, helping businesses integrate and optimize cloud-based solutions.
  • Deep understanding of architecting and developing scalable, production-grade Big Data solutions in virtualized environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis & Insights. Conduct in-depth research on cloud data and develop a comprehensive understanding of data structures, trends, and analytics. Aggregate, cleanse, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to extract actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  2. Data Pipeline Development. Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that ensure seamless, reliable, and efficient data flow between source systems, analytics applications, and reporting tools.
  3. Data Governance & Security. Establish and enforce data governance best practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies. Implement security protocols to protect sensitive information and mitigate potential risks.
  4. Technology Evaluation & Adoption. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and tools in the data and analytics landscape. Continuously assess new methodologies and integrate innovative solutions to enhance the analytics platform and optimize data management processes.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with engineering teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
  6. Technical Consulting & Support. Provide expert guidance on best practices for cloud data management, performance optimization, and system integration. Support clients in navigating technical challenges and ensuring successful deployment of cloud-based data solutions.
