Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience to support Phoenix, our data engineering and analytics platform. Phoenix processes raw telemetry data from various sources and produces accurate and scalable business insights. This platform powers data-driven business management solutions, creating value by maximizing customer and HP value.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Familiarization with Phoenix System. Gain a deep understanding of the existing Phoenix System, its tech stack, data sources (both internal and external), dashboards, and analyses.
  2. Requirement Analysis and Design. Participate in analyzing requirements and high-level designs.
  3. Data Source Onboarding and Pipeline Building. Collaborate with business partners, application and process owners, and product team members to onboard new data sources and develop pipelines.
  4. Data Modelling and Preparation. Perform data modelling and prepare data in databases for various analytics tools, configuring and developing data pipelines to optimize data assets.
  5. ETL Architecture. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline/ETL architecture in Databricks and cloud-based technologies.
  6. Automation. Deliver automation capabilities for data engineering, reporting, and enhance analytics delivery.
  7. Data Migration. Support data migration activities from legacy to new databases.
  8. Technical Support. Provide necessary technical support through all phases of the solution lifecycle.
  9. Adhoc Analysis. Perform adhoc analysis as required.
  10. Collaboration. Collaborate with peers, data engineers, data scientists, and project team members.

Required Skills

Must Have

  1. SQL Programming. Strong skills in SQL programming.
  2. ETL Concepts. In-depth knowledge of ETL concepts.
  3. Databricks. Hands-on experience with Databricks.
  4. Python & PySpark. Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
  5. Analytical Knowledge. Strong analytical skills.

AWS Experience

  • Redshift
  • S3

Reporting Tools

  • Any reporting tool, preferably Qliksense.

Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience in data analysis and profiling.
