As a member of the SMB Data Engineering team, you'll collaborate with engineers and Data Scientists to grow and retain customers in the SMB M365 business. Your role is crucial in ensuring that data drives our efforts to enhance the SMB experience with M365 products. You'll play a pivotal role in providing valuable data insights, driving feature improvements, and ultimately enhancing customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Create reports and actionable business insights for SMB M365 purchases and usage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess data needs and support project cost evaluation.
- Support the development of data models and pipelines for projects.
- Create and review data dev specs, and assist in data modeling and design reviews.
- Implement code for data extraction and basic transformations, ensuring data quality.
- Contribute to data tool development, platform monitoring, and identifying/addressing issues in data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with data handling procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work or internship experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, KQL, or other data manipulation languages.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C#.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as Azure or AWS is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of data modeling techniques.
- Experience using version control systems like Git.
