The Data Test Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the validation of data-based solutions against business requirements, ultimately delivering high-quality outcomes. Working within the bank's test and governance framework, the Data Test Lead analyzes requirements, prepares comprehensive test plans, executes test cases, reports on defects and testing status, and mentors new team members.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to the bank's test and governance framework.
• Analyzing requirements to develop thorough test plans.
• Creating and executing test cases to validate data solutions.
• Reporting defects and testing status to stakeholders.
• Generating comprehensive test summary reports.
• Testing various components including ETL processes, data acquisition from files and streaming data on Azure and/or SQL server.
• Mentoring and guiding new members of the test team.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, Computer Science, or similar field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Data Testing.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Test Lead.
• Proficiency in QA Methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
• Expertise in manual and automation testing, test process management, and testing governance.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, particularly in a Cloud Platform environment.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Experience in testing both Waterfall and Agile development projects.
• Proficiency in ETL testing, API testing, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Cloud environments, with preference given to Azure.
• Understanding of best practices in Release/Environment management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills at both technical and business levels.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• ISTQB Certification is desirable.
• Experience in the finance industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with test automation techniques.
