As a DevOps Automation Engineer within R&D IT, you'll play a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and enhancing both cloud and on-premise data center environments. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with virtualization and storage teams to design, build, and enhance cloud and on-premise data center environments.
- Utilize automation tools such as Git, Ansible, Satellite, Salt, Python, Docker, and AWS to streamline infrastructure operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in RedHat Enterprise Linux and contribute to the optimization of data center architecture.
- Deploy and manage hardware/cloud monitoring services using tools like SPLUNK, AWS tooling, or Zabbix, ensuring robust monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Leverage knowledge of RedHat OpenShift container platform and Kubernetes-based environments to drive containerization initiatives.
- Foster collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, serving as a liaison between R&D IT and other departments.
- Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Implement security measures, including access controls and encryption, to safeguard sensitive data.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure operational efficiency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, with approximately 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong automation skills with proficiency in Ansible, Python, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with RedHat and AWS certifications preferred.
- In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, including hardware/server architecture and automation deployment techniques.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and experience with IT service management processes, preferably using tools like ServiceNow.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
