We're on the lookout for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer (generalist) to bolster our offshore team. This role holds pivotal importance in steering our operations towards the cloud and enhancing our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. The ideal candidate will boast extensive expertise with AWS, Jenkins, and OpenShift, with additional proficiency in Groovy scripting as a definite advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, while seamlessly integrating various tools to streamline development processes.
• Oversee and execute on-premise to cloud migrations, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
• Provision AWS instances as required and manage container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Spearhead scripting initiatives for server patching, infrastructure as code updates, and routine maintenance of Java and Tomcat environments.
• Foster collaboration across projects and teams to drive organizational objectives and initiatives forward.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps capacity, with substantial exposure to AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Jenkins for pipeline management and OpenShift for application scaling.
• Strong scripting abilities in Groovy (considered a bonus) and solid experience in Java application management.
• Proven track record in leading cloud migration endeavors, encompassing strategies for both cloud-native and containerized applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving acumen and adeptness in cross-functional collaboration.
• Thorough understanding of Ansible is a must.

Additional Information

• This role is of paramount importance, as the selected candidate will replace an existing team member and operate under the guidance of DevOps lead, Kyle, who liaises with multiple teams.
