As a DevOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) at BOLD, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing infrastructure and platform services on the Azure cloud platform. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the infrastructure supports the needs of product teams while adhering to industry best practices such as fault tolerance, availability, and observability.
Responsibilities
- Automate Everything. Uphold and promote the "Automate Everything" philosophy within the team.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting applications across development and production environments.
- Collaboration. Work closely with colleagues across different teams to ensure the reliability and uninterrupted access to critical cloud services 24/7.
- Troubleshooting. Effectively manage and troubleshoot server and platform issues as they arise.
- Performance Monitoring. Analyze and monitor the performance of cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and shared resources.
Requirements
- DevOps Tools. Proficiency in using DevOps tools within the Azure Cloud environment.
- Automation. Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Containerization. Skilled in application containerization, Kubernetes cluster administration, and management.
- Monitoring and Alerting. Knowledge of cloud monitoring and alerting tools including NewRelic, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
- Scripting. Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and Bash; familiarity with scripting in GoLang/Python is a plus.
- Log Management. Familiarity with EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana) log management solutions.
- Agile Methodology. Proficient in working with Agile methodologies.
- Communication Skills. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to mentor new team members.
- Analytical Skills. Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in problem-solving.
Good to Have
- Disaster Recovery. Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for building highly available applications.
- Server Administration. Proficiency in web server administration, including skills in Windows, Linux, and networking.
- Additional Scripting Languages. Hands-on scripting proficiency in GoLang or Python.
- DNS Management. Hands-on experience in DNS management.
