Job Description

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial management of the organization. This involves analyzing, reporting, and reconciling financial and operational results, identifying variances to plans, and offering actionable recommendations to key stakeholders. You will engage in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure compliance with reporting standards, and support priority projects while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting. Extract and analyze financial data to diagnose drivers, and provide insightful recommendations to stakeholders.
  2. Financial Analysis. Conduct detailed financial analysis for specific functions or business units, addressing financial issues and supporting key business initiatives.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting. Contribute to the monthly review of expenses and capital, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and analyze variances with operational insights.
  4. Financial Reporting. Interpret and explain financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  5. Process Understanding. Develop a thorough understanding of financial processes and gain proficiency in company operations and business objectives.
  6. Financial Forecasting. Support the business by closing books, analyzing trends, and creating financial forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
  7. Compliance. Ensure adherence to reporting standards and corporate policies, maintaining the integrity of external and internal reporting.
  8. Project Support. Contribute to priority projects through research and data analysis, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
  9. Stakeholder Engagement. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and deliver standardized reports to support business needs.

Education & Experience

  1. Required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience. 0-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)

Knowledge & Skills

  1. Technical Skills. Accounting, auditing, corporate finance, financial analysis, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  2. Business Acumen. Understanding of financial statements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Software Proficiency. Experience with SAP applications and financial planning tools.
  4. Analytical Skills. Data analysis, process improvement, and financial services knowledge.
