As a Senior Web and Mobile Applications Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in our technology stack.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development and Operations. Taking ownership of the entire lifecycle of our high-performance web and mobile applications, from conception to deployment and beyond.
- Architecting and Scaling. Designing and scaling engineering platforms to enhance performance, reduce technical debt, and ensure agility in our operations.
- Cultivating Innovation. Fostering a culture of innovation and rapid execution, setting an example through hands-on leadership and proactive problem-solving.
- Building Best-in-Class Platforms. Leading the development of top-notch web platforms that enhance the dynamism of our marketplace, catering to evolving user needs.
- Collaboration with Business. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Technical Ownership. Serving as the technical owner for a suite of products, including proprietary web applications, automated reporting tools, frontend applications, and data engineering initiatives.
- Process Improvement. Continuously refining and enhancing delivery processes to foster a quality-focused development culture and drive operational efficiency.
- Talent Management. Leading the effort in hiring, developing, training, and retaining a high-performing engineering team, ensuring we have the best talent in place to achieve our goals.
Requirements
- Technical Proficiency. A hands-on technologist with expertise in ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with a keen eye for detail and scale.
- Adaptability. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic startup environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Project Management. Excellent prioritization and project management skills, with experience working in agile frameworks and project tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience in Web Development. Proven experience in developing applications using multiple stacks and scaling web applications in microservices-based setups.
- Architecture and Design. Strong experience in architecture, design, and delivery of data-intensive applications, coupled with expertise in modern web UI frameworks like React and Angular.
- Quality Assurance. Experience leading a QA/testing function, with a focus on developing automation techniques to ensure ongoing quality of delivery.
- Infrastructure Expertise. In-depth knowledge of building high-throughput, low-latency web services and architecting systems for AWS is a plus.
- Team Leadership. Prior experience in managing engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Startup Mindset. A passion for working in a startup environment, with the drive to innovate and make a significant impact.
