Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust platforms for data capture, storage, processing, serving, and querying.
- Design and implement data products including personalization & recommendation platforms, customer segmentation & intelligence, data insights engines for persuasion, and customer engagement platforms.
- Spearhead the Feature Store initiative, an internal unified data analytics platform that enhances data pipelines, simplifies featurization, and accelerates model training.
Technology Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with large datasets and a strong grasp of technology to design and build robust data architectures.
- Proficiency in data modeling and database design.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Spark/BigData tech stack.
- Expertise in stream processing engines such as Spark Structured Streaming/Flink.
- Analytical processing on Big Data using Spark.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Scala.
- Hands-on experience in administration, configuration management, monitoring, and performance tuning of Spark workloads, Distributed platforms, and JVM based systems.
- At least 2+ years of cloud deployment experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deployment experience with big data technologies like Business Data Lake, NoSQL databases, etc.
- Ability to evaluate and select among various big data, NoSQL, and analytics tools and technologies.
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing domain-centric big data solutions.
- Capability to make architectural decisions and provide technology leadership and direction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, hands-on engineering capabilities, and strong communication skills.

The team focuses heavily on streaming datasets to power personalized customer experiences, spanning recommendations to in-location engagement.
