Join our DataLabs team at Capital One India as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer! You’ll be part of the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) team, leading the charge in developing autonomous and intelligent data products that address a wide range of business and analytical needs. This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll drive impactful projects, mentor top talent, and collaborate with various teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Innovation. Drive the development of systems for automated governance decisioning by managing model and feature metadata.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work closely with product and design teams to create scalable solutions that enhance governance processes.
- Build and Optimize. Develop and enhance big data and machine learning applications using cloud-based technologies.
- Data Pipeline Construction. Design and optimize data pipelines to feed ML models.
- Programming Excellence. Utilize languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Best Practices. Advocate for and implement software and ML engineering best practices, including CI/CD and test automation.
- Team Leadership. Mentor and coach a high-performance engineering team, shaping career development and evaluating performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 6+ years of experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
- 4+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience in building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.
- 2+ years of experience with the full ML Development Lifecycle and industry-recognized best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in building production-ready data pipelines for ML models.
- 3+ years with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven track record in developing and deploying ML solutions and complex data pipelines.
- Contributions to open source ML software or academic publications are a plus.
