As a Product Solution Engineer (PSE) in the App Support pod, you'll work on scalable, technically challenging systems like Chimera (config engine) and JARVIS (scripting engine). Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, managing app releases, and collaborating with developers to understand system capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production software issues and customer escalations.
- Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for production and non-production environments.
- Assist in enhancing existing systems and components.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and optimize their systems.
- Automate manual tasks through scripting (primarily in Python).
- Maintain an on-call runbook and track problem analysis and resolution activities.
Qualifications
- Experience. 1 to 4 years
- Educational Background. Bachelor of Engineering
Desired Skills
- Proficient in MySQL with the ability to write and understand complex SQL queries.
- Experience in Python scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with programming languages (C++ or Java is a plus).
- Problem-Solving. Strong analytical skills and a proven track record in production support.
- Communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in responding to customer issues.
- Domain Knowledge. Experience in e-commerce or web services is advantageous.
- Collaboration. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and understand business problems.
