Job Description

Google is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in research.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C/C++ or Python).
  • Contributions to research communities, including publications in esteemed forums (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience thriving in a dynamic environment, bridging engineering and research through rapid prototyping and experimentation.
  • Familiarity with Tensorflow and Jax.
  • Passion for cutting-edge machine learning and natural language processing.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with client and platform teams.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and test new hypotheses, conduct experiments, and analyze results to drive innovation and product improvement.
  • Demonstrate agility and adaptability by undertaking tasks beyond your comfort zone.
  • Foster a growth mindset, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field and acquiring new skills as needed.
  • Oversee the end-to-end workflow, including data generation, logging, and evaluation.
  • Optimize resource consumption and make quality trade-offs to accommodate diverse hardware capabilities.
