Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master to join our Hyderabad team. This is a critical leadership role focused on driving Agile excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, QA Engineers, Operations, and PMO, to facilitate Agile ceremonies, streamline SDLC processes, and enhance productivity using Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Agile Facilitation & Coaching. Serve as a mentor and coach to Agile teams, guiding them through Scrum and Agile best practices. Conduct regular sprint ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration. Act as a key liaison between development teams and business stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and alignment of project goals, priorities, and deliverables.
  3. Azure DevOps Mastery. Champion the effective use of Azure Boards for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking progress. Help teams understand how to use Azure Boards to visualize work, measure velocity, and manage dependencies.
  4. Process Optimization. Identify inefficiencies and pain points within the current Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Recommend and implement improvements to enhance delivery timelines, quality, and team engagement.
  5. Toolchain Design & Administration. Take ownership of configuring the Azure DevOps environment—Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Test Plans. Customize process templates, map existing JIRA workflows to Azure Boards, and design scalable Agile structures.
  6. Metrics-Driven Management. Leverage metrics such as sprint burndown charts, velocity, cycle time, and lead time to drive performance improvements. Use data insights to facilitate better forecasting and team capacity planning.
  7. Agile Transformation. Lead workshops and training sessions for Project Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to promote Agile thinking and drive organization-wide adoption.
  8. Resistance Handling & Change Management. Understand cultural and behavioral barriers to Agile adoption. Apply proven change management techniques to influence and encourage teams and leaders to embrace new ways of working.
  9. Technical Best Practices. Advocate for engineering excellence by promoting industry-standard practices such as branching strategies, code review protocols (PR reviews), and DevOps integration.
  10. Migration Leadership. Oversee complex migration efforts, ensuring all aspects, including timeline, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication, are well-managed and delivered successfully.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role
  • Proven track record of facilitating Agile teams and managing enterprise-level projects
  • Strong command of Azure DevOps and its ecosystem including Boards, Pipelines, Repos, and Test Plans
  • Experience in mapping JIRA workflows to Azure Boards and customizing process templates
  • Expertise in Agile metrics and the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate across levels
  • Experience conducting workshops and training sessions for cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in leading Agile transformation and change initiatives in complex environments
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and DevOps best practices
  • Familiarity with SDLC models, CI/CD processes, and version control systems
