Job Description

The CFR Analytics & Data Science CoE team plays a pivotal role in making informed decisions that impact millions of customers daily. Description of the Role

  • Develop, deploy, and validate predictive models to support profitable decision-making in risk, fraud, and marketing.
  • Understand AXP's core business and the drivers behind key decisions.
  • Analyze large datasets to derive business insights and develop innovative solutions.
  • Utilize closed-loop insights from the Amex network to enhance decision-making relevance.
  • Innovate using big data and machine learning to pioneer new approaches.
  • Communicate findings effectively to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about developments in Finance, Payments, and Analytics domains.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBA, Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics and big data projects.
  • Ability to drive project deliverables and achieve business outcomes.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving ability in complex, unstructured environments.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, Hive, Spark, SQL.
  • Familiarity with unsupervised and supervised learning techniques.

  • Expertise in coding, algorithms, and high-performance computing.
