Description of the Role
- Develop, deploy, and validate predictive models to support profitable decision-making in risk, fraud, and marketing.
- Understand AXP's core business and the drivers behind key decisions.
- Analyze large datasets to derive business insights and develop innovative solutions.
- Utilize closed-loop insights from the Amex network to enhance decision-making relevance.
- Innovate using big data and machine learning to pioneer new approaches.
- Communicate findings effectively to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Stay informed about developments in Finance, Payments, and Analytics domains.
Minimum Qualifications
- MBA, Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 2-4 years of experience in analytics and big data projects.
- Ability to drive project deliverables and achieve business outcomes.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative problem-solving ability in complex, unstructured environments.
- Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, Hive, Spark, SQL.
- Familiarity with unsupervised and supervised learning techniques.
