Job Description

As a Senior Customer Engineer for the Azure Customer Experience Team (Azure CXP), you will be part of the Advanced Cloud Engineering & Supportability - Core Delivery Innovation team. Your role will focus on supporting Azure customers, resolving technical issues, advocating for customer needs, and driving product improvements. You will work closely with Azure service teams to ensure top-notch support and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Azure customers by addressing a wide range of technical issues, from basic “How To” queries to complex technical problems, in a 24x5 global support delivery team.
  • Monitor and respond to customer questions via Microsoft Q&A, representing Microsoft and Azure Engineering.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Azure services (level 200-300) to provide effective solutions and communicate trends and issues to leadership.
  • Advocate for customers by representing their issues to engineering teams and driving innovative solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize support processes and tools to enhance support efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Share insights and recommendations based on support trends to prevent recurring issues.
  • Work with Azure engineering teams to deliver solutions and new capabilities for critical Azure deployments.
  • Apply an engineering mindset to address and resolve top issues impacting customer experience, partnering with engineering teams to improve the Azure platform.
  • Build and update Azure product documentation to assist customers in delivering solutions on Azure.
  • Partner with Support Tooling teams to ensure support engineers have parity with Azure commercial cloud.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and/or Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Security domains, including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and synchronization of entities between On-Premise and Cloud Directories.
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols (Kerberos, PKI, OAuth, SSO, SAML) and Azure AD registered applications.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting Azure AD, ADFS, MFA, conditional access, and Application Proxy issues.
  • Experience with developing applications using MSAL or similar authentication libraries.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing, documenting, and implementing Active Directory & Microsoft Entra environments, including consolidations and migrations.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD application development models.
  • Experience troubleshooting developer-related issues with tools like Fiddler.
