The Senior Data Scientist will be part of Epsilon's Automotive practice, working within a global team to drive growth for major players in the automotive industry. The role involves deploying end-to-end data science projects, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to support OEMs and dealers. You will contribute to developing solutions across the customer journey, focusing on acquisition, engagement, and retention. The role also includes coaching junior data scientists and automating processes for scalability.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end data science projects, including business requirements understanding, exploratory data analysis, data processing, feature engineering, model building and validation, and insight presentation.
- Utilize AI, ML, and DL techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, tree-based algorithms, SVM, neural networks, recommender systems, and attribution modeling.
- Improve methodologies by developing new data sources/features, testing enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters.
- Provide requirements for developing analytical capabilities, platforms, and pipelines.
- Present insights and recommendations to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Automate processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable solutions.
- Coach and mentor junior data scientists, supporting project delivery and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics).
- 5-7 years of experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record in deploying data science projects.
- 5+ years of coding experience in Python, PySpark, SAS, and SQL.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with ML and DL algorithms.
- Familiarity with LLM, Generative AI, and Cloud Systems (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with large data sets and scalable solution development.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
