As a Software Release Engineer at Siemens, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and deployment of software solutions. Responsibilities
- Analyze software CI/CD requirements to align with business needs.
- Execute software release management and build activities using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and other relevant tools.
- Package software artifacts and create installers using WiX, InstallShield, or Wise.
- Manage multiple product installations and maintenance releases.
- Ensure continuous delivery of software products and their maintenance releases.
- Develop and optimize software build scripts and CI/CD automations.
- Ensure adherence to organization and project quality requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements analysis, software configuration management, and continuous integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in MSI/Windows installer concepts, source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab), and release management tools (WiX, InstallShield).
- Strong knowledge of software configuration management and DevOps concepts.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as C++, PowerShell, Batch, or Perl.
- Familiarity with Lean/Agile software development methodologies.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
