Responsibilities
- Architect Highly Scalable Infrastructure. Design and develop code to build infrastructure that is not only highly available but also scalable in the AWS public cloud environment.
- Manage Diverse Technology Stack. Work with a diverse technology stack including ElastiCache/Redis, DocumentDB/MongoDB, Consul, Kong, RabbitMQ, and various AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo, Kubernetes, etc.
- Drive Continuous Improvement. Develop software tools and processes to drive initiatives focused on enhancing capacity, feature set, availability, reliability, and performance of application systems.
- Implement CI/CD Pipelines. Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and daily code shipments to production for hundreds of engineers.
- Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to prioritize features and deliver software and infrastructure changes into production environments.
- Automation and Best Practices. Define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management. Introduce new automation technologies to improve engineering velocity and quality.
- Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing. Utilize troubleshooting techniques to identify and fix code bugs, while encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
Requirements
- Experience. Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years in a DevOps role.
- Education. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Groovy. Experience with configuration management tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Puppet, Docker. Strong database skills and experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools are preferred.
- Cloud Experience. Hands-on experience with AWS services and console, AWS certification or other cloud certifications preferred.
- Team Player. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well both independently and in teams. Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
