Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic DFT Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our design and testing processes, you will be responsible for developing Design for Testability (DFT) solutions for our processors. Your expertise will ensure the robustness and reliability of our products, contributing to our continued success and innovation in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement DFT architectures and methodologies, including Scan, ATPG, ABIST (Array BIST), LBIST (Logic BIST), BSCAN (Boundary Scan), and JTAG.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies such as simulators, accelerators, synthesis, Cadence tools, and ATPG/MBIST tools for efficient design and verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various geographies to integrate DFT solutions effectively.
  • Perform DFT design on physical design with a focus on optimization and efficiency.
  • Write and maintain scripts in Python, Perl, and TCL to automate and enhance DFT processes.
  • Debug and troubleshoot DFT issues, providing solutions to complex design challenges.

Primary Skills

  • Proficiency in ATPG, ABIST (Array BIST), LBIST (Logic BIST), BSCAN (Boundary Scan), JTAG, and related methodologies.
  • Strong experience with DFT design and implementation on physical design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Perl, and TCL scripting for automation and debugging.
  • Deep understanding of industry-standard tools and methodologies, including simulators, accelerators, synthesis, and Cadence tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the DFT domain.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing DFT solutions for complex processor designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
