Job Description

Responsibilities

Daily Cash Application

  • Apply received cash accurately and promptly to customer accounts.
  • Ensure payments are matched correctly with corresponding invoices and customer accounts.

Email Management

  • Monitor and manage multiple Outlook mailboxes.
  • Prioritize and respond to emails regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies promptly.

Payment Processing

  • Process various payments and ensure timely distribution of cash.
  • Handle different types of payments including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions.

Payment Research and Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments, overpayments, and missing payment information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues efficiently.

Compliance and Security

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to external regulations and information security standards related to payment processing and data privacy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cash application or accounts receivable role.
  • Familiarity with Outlook and proficiency in managing multiple mailboxes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.
