We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in microservices to join our remote team. You will collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and analysts to design, develop, test, and document system components for our Data Platform. This role involves working in an agile development environment with teams across multiple offices and countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document system components for the new Data Platform.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews, unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Contribute to an agile development team by collaborating with designers, analysts, users, and leads.
- Apply best practices in software engineering throughout the development process and into production.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues effectively to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Experience. At least 4 years of hands-on experience developing complex software systems in Java.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Microservices, and consuming REST APIs.
- Proficient in Spring Boot, Hibernate, Apache, Tomcat, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with multithreading and SQL databases.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- Soft Skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Language Proficiency. Fluent in spoken and written English (upper-intermediate level or higher).
- Experience with JBoss EAP and Python is a plus.
