Luxoft, a DXC Technology Company, is expanding its Murex cloud/DevOps team in the APAC region. This exciting role involves providing ongoing support and implementing changes for the client's Capital Markets Trading platform (Murex) on AWS. The project aims to further automate processes and enhance AWS capabilities. This opportunity allows you to work with a diverse set of technologies, including AWS, DevOps practices, and both legacy and latest versions of Murex.
Responsibilities
- Utilize PostgreSQL DBA expertise to manage all aspects of database administration.
- Act as a Solution Architect for all DB-related activities, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Set up databases on-demand, whether on-premises or in AWS Cloud (RDS and/or Aurora).
- Conduct performance monitoring across different environments, including on-premises and cloud.
- Execute database replication, migration, and upgrades as needed.
- Perform regular DB patching and maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity.
Mandatory Skills
- Over 6 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of PostgreSQL replication.
- Mandatory experience as a Sybase DBA.
- Expertise in database patching, maintenance, and optimization.
- Proficiency in database backup and recovery procedures for PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Warm Standby and table-level replication.
- Thorough understanding of PostgreSQL database security concepts.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell and Perl.
- Skilled in optimization and performance tuning techniques.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to capital markets technology, especially Murex, is advantageous.
- English proficiency: B2 Upper Intermediate level.
