In this role, you will be assigned to projects critical to Google’s business needs, with the flexibility to switch teams and projects as you grow and as our fast-paced environment evolves. Your technical expertise will be pivotal in managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, with strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, and/or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, and/or API development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in developing accessible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders to choose the best technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers to ensure adherence to best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt materials based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage and debug product or system issues, tracking and resolving them by analyzing their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
