As a Contract and Procurement Manager at Visa, your primary responsibility is to optimize the value derived from contracts and procurement activities while ensuring adherence to high standards of quality and risk management. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline contracting processes, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance with global sourcing policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with cross-functional leaders across Visa to drive sourcing strategies and initiatives.
- Maintain and enforce standards for contract quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with Visa policies and procedures.
- Draft, negotiate, and review supplier contracts in collaboration with internal teams to secure favorable terms and alignment with company interests.
- Engage directly with suppliers to procure materials, products, and services, emphasizing quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Legal, collaborating on contract negotiations and managing records within Visa's retention system.
- Review and approve contracts in accordance with global sourcing policies and standard terms.
- Develop a deep understanding of internal and external requirements and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with Legal and other stakeholders to analyze risks and develop contractual language to minimize exposure.
- Support sourcing initiatives by coordinating with Category Managers and facilitating supplier selection and negotiation processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, listening attentively and valuing diverse perspectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers to support category strategies and enhance procurement efficiency.
- Provide support to internal customers, guiding them through the procurement process and addressing inquiries and issues promptly.
- Administer contracts in Ariba Contract Workspace, including routing agreements for approvals and signatures.
- Explain sourcing processes to business owners and stakeholders, emphasizing the necessity of various activities.
- Manage incoming requests, provide status updates, and escalate issues as needed to meet service level agreements.
- Troubleshoot internal customer issues related to contract management and procurement operations.
- Develop expertise in global sourcing tools and systems, assisting the team with inquiries and optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing and/or contracting, ideally within the financial or payment card industry.
- Proficiency in contract terms, legal concepts, and risk assessment.
- Extensive experience with contract negotiations and drafting various agreements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver superior results.
- Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in purchasing systems and software, including Ariba, Coupa, DocuSign, and Oracle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement, or purchasing is a plus.
