The Adobe Connect Team is revolutionizing virtual communication and collaboration experiences with Adobe Connect, a leading web conferencing and online meeting platform used by millions worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer 5 (SRE), you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture and Design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions for Adobe Connect.
- Automation and Tooling. Develop automation tools and scripts for deployment, monitoring, and incident response to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitoring and Alerting. Implement robust monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance of Adobe Connect services.
- Incident Management. Lead incident response efforts, investigating and troubleshooting system outages and performance degradation.
- Capacity Planning. Analyze system performance metrics to forecast capacity requirements effectively.
- Continuous Improvement. Drive initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of Adobe Connect services.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing. Create detailed documentation and knowledge base articles to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Technical Leadership. Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the SRE team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 14+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- Expertise in automation using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Deep understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Proven track record of leading incident response efforts and driving post-incident reviews.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Connect or other web conferencing platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
