The Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking a results-oriented and driven Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our team in Sao Paulo. As an SDE, you will play a key role in designing and developing the next generation of distributed, scalable financial systems that facilitate global transactions worth billions annually. This is a chance to work on real-world problems on a global scale, influencing technology that impacts millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop services for highly complex business contexts in real-time.
- Own systems end-to-end and influence the direction of technology.
- Work on challenging agile projects within a small development team.
- Utilize skills in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Learn to design, implement, and test highly scalable solutions using the AWS cloud platform and its products.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
