About This Team
The Data Science department at BOLD is responsible for discovering patterns and trends in datasets, creating predictive algorithms and data models, and enhancing product offerings using machine learning techniques. We collaborate closely with Engineering, Portals, BI, Product, and Legal teams on various projects focused on natural language processing and machine learning.
What You'll Do
- Work with the development team to transition prototypes into production environments.
- Assist architects in building data systems for structured and ad hoc access to large datasets.
- Manage testing, deployment, and version control for machine learning services and data systems.
What You'll Need
- Experience. 2-4.5 years as a Software Engineer specializing in Python.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, including developing RESTful web services with Django/Flask.
- Advanced skills in SQL and NoSQL databases; experience deploying models into production environments.
- Expertise with relational databases, writing complex SQL queries, and structuring data for analytics and machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with any NoSQL database, e.g., MongoDB.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and open-source tools/platforms.
- Experience with containerization using Docker; ability to maintain Kubernetes cluster environments.
- Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
What's Good to Have
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of software stack components, including programming languages, back-end technologies, database modeling, continuous integration, and services-oriented architecture.
