Job Description:
This professional Senior Software Engineer position will be responsible for the development aspects of complex cloud-based products. The position will provide leadership in development methodology, automation, and dev processes, perform research on new technologies and tools offered in the marketplace, provide technical guidance and lead discussions with fellow software engineers, perform code and design reviews, and actively participate in the dev process. The candidate should be able to work with cross-functional teams in development, and contribute actively in code/design reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field and 5+ years experience. Or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field and 3+ years experience.
- 2+ years working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with commercial software development cycle.
- Expert level knowledge of Java or Golang.
- Experience with docker; worked on containerizing applications
- Strong experience with databases such as SQL ,NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Go, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
- Time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed
- Experience in working with Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Terragrunt for automation and configuration is a plus
- Experience in UI development (Angular) is a plus
