Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver high-quality engineering support services for Azure Storage.
  • Collaborate within the team to define sustainable solutions that meet diverse hardware qualifications.
  • Take ownership of projects and complete them at the highest quality and within timelines.
  • Conduct hardware tests, validate performance, and identify bugs.
  • Share best practices and insights with other engineers to drive improvements.
  • Stay updated on hardware technology advancements and their impact on capabilities.
  • Help implement high-performance solutions across teams while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor telemetry data and perform basic analyses to identify and address issues.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) during on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Technical experience in software, network, service, or systems engineering.
  • Basic understanding of storage hardware, networking, and system administration.

Preferred

  • Additional coding experience in PowerShell and querying databases.
  • Hands-on knowledge of server hardware including HDD, SSD, and advanced ASIC.
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, groups, and teams.
  • Passion for driving improvements in security and business continuity solutions.
