We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Solaris Administrator to join our team at TCS, Mumbai. As a Solaris Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux (RHEL/OEL) systems, ensuring their smooth operation and high availability.
Key Responsibilities

Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux Administration. Utilize your expertise in Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux administration to manage and maintain our systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

VERITAS Volume Manager and LVM. Demonstrate proficiency in VERITAS volume manager and Logical Volume Manager (LVM), employing these tools to efficiently manage storage resources.

Troubleshooting. Utilize your troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux systems promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted service.

Hardware Knowledge. Leverage your understanding of server hardware to effectively manage and maintain server infrastructure, including hardware upgrades and replacements as necessary.

Communication Skills. Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing clear and concise updates on system status and addressing any concerns or queries.

ITIL Process Knowledge. Demonstrate an understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes and best practices, ensuring adherence to established guidelines for service delivery and management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux administration.
- Proficiency in VERITAS volume manager and Logical Volume Manager (LVM).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Solid understanding of server hardware and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices is preferred.
