Job Summary
Our client is actively seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join a remote team dedicated to migrating legacy systems to the Google Cloud Platform. As a key member of this dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in the transformation process by opening, understanding, and rewriting SAS code into BigQuery SQL. Your responsibilities will include validating the output against SAS results and addressing any debugging requirements that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform by translating SAS code into BigQuery SQL.
- Ensure the accuracy of the code transformation by validating the output against SAS results.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to address any debugging requirements.
- Utilize strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL.
- Proficiency in using SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Plusses
- Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience with SAS, including the ability to read and understand SAS code.
- Cloud experience, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.
