Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data visualization and requirements.
- Design UI wireframes adhering to industry and Visa best practices.
- Develop end-to-end architecture for dashboards in collaboration with the Data Engineering team.
- Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and D3 to develop key modules ensuring acceptable performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in visualizations, leading user acceptance testing.
- Define report/dashboard delivery mechanisms using APIs, subscriptions, and report servers.
- Implement data and report-level security requirements considering user roles and access privileges.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data visualization processes and create training content for end-users.
- Build and manage a team of data visualization specialists, driving innovation in the space.
- Execute projects using Agile scrum methodology, prioritizing backlogs, leading sprint reviews, etc.
- Communicate effectively with executive audiences, both internal and external.
- Contribute to designing and developing data visualization strategies and frameworks.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience OR Advanced degree with at least 2 years of experience OR PhD with no work experience OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of work experience OR Advanced degree with 4+ years of experience OR PhD with up to 3 years of experience.
- Familiarity with shared services, consulting, financial services is advantageous.
- Expert knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and common open-source technologies.
- Proficiency in data interpretation, visualization techniques, and communication of complex insights.
- Experience with gathering requirements, prototyping, and designing visualization projects.
- Expertise in code version control systems (e.g., git) and visualization workflows.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with large-scale project delivery, organization design, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in SQL, big data processing, and supporting production software/systems.
